Please only use the healing Balm provided by Purposeful Beauty. Oily skin: I recommend dry healing. Dry healing is when you add none or very little moisturizer on top of your eyebrows. This method will help your eyebrows heal better. Avoid using too much ointment. Too much ointment can compromise the results of your procedure. Instead, use only a tiny amount, equivalent to the size of a grain of rice, and spread a little with your fingers.
Day One
You must start cleaning your eyebrows every 2 hours after your procedure. Wipe brows back and forth and apply a small amount of ointment. Repeat this through out the day and sleep with a thin
layer of ointment. You can use unscented baby wipes or wet cotton pads. Please don’t use make up wipes.
Day two
When you wake up, wipe your eyebrows, apply another layer of ointment, and another layer in the evening.
Day 3-10
From day three onwards, only use the ointment in the morning and evening. Do not wipe your eyebrows anymore.

I as described on my Book “Purposeful Beauty Changing lives with Microblading Cosmetic Procedures”, Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure technique. It is performed by manually
depositing pigment into the first layer of your skin, the epidermis. It enhances your natural eyebrows or creates new eyebrows for those who don’t have any eyebrows. The artists will use an
instrument that resembles a pen with an opening on the tip where the artist’s blade of choice, such as a 0.18 mm or a 0.16mm will be attached. The blade will add pigment color to create tiny hair-
like strokes between your natural hairs.
A mapping technique creates the ideal facial symmetry according to your face structure. Feather-like hair strokes are designed with a blade on the skin with a color pigment deposit, mimicking
natural hair strokes. Microblading is usually a 2-step procedure. The new eyebrow shape and hair strokes will be created in an initial procedure. A touch-up is highly recommended between 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure. It is essential to know that microblading does not remain permanently on the skin and needs retouching every 12 to 18 months.
- If you experience any painful reaction, redness, or irritation on day 2 suspend the healing balm and contact your artist who is best to advice on what to do.
At Purposeful Beauty we apply topical 5% lidocaine to make your procedure comfortable. However, some people are less sensitive than others. Having a procedure during your menstrual cycle may increase your sensitivity.
If you are undergoing medical treatments, you must get a doctor’s note stating he/she allow you to receive the procedure you are seeking to get done, if you are pregnant, you cannot undergo
microblading. If you are nursing, you can undergo microblading, but we cannot apply numbing cream. If you have diabetes or undergoing cancer treatment you should get a note from your
doctor stating that you can undergo the microblading process or the permanent makeup procedure. Contraindications: Patients taking blood thinners, heart medications, aspirin, medications for any
diseases such as diabetes, lupus, or any autoimmune disease.
In the next hours following your procedure your brows will appear much darker and bolder. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area. The day after your procedure (Day 2) your eyebrows will be even darker if compared to day 1. Do not panic. Around day 3 you may notice some flaking or light scabbing on the treated area.Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. Between 4-6 weeks after your appointment your brows will be fully healed. However, any pigment that does not return will be addressed at your touch up appointment or if you would prefer darker, bolder brows we can always add more color or dimension during that appointment!
Your facial features and bone structure is measured to determine the best eyebrow shape for your face. The eyebrow is first drawn with makeup, then the client can decide if she likes how thick it is, where its positioned, if the arch is perfect and if the overall shape is what they desire. Only after the client has approved and is satisfied with the drawn shape will the permanent procedure begin.
Only if you are not sure if microblading is good for your skin type or skin condition. Anyone who has had their brows tattooed previously by another artist needs to text me a picture /or book a consultation before booking an appointment.
